A proven process for licensure submission
In the experience of Westmont submission professionals, broad licensure is more quickly achieved when all applications for admission in unlicensed states are filed at the same time. While we have found that the process described here works best, we are flexible and will adapt to your preferences.
- At the outset, we request specific information about your company. We then assess your ability to meet basic statutory requirements in regard to seasoning, capital and surplus, profitability, and other aspects of business, before filing applications.
- Concurrent with our assessment, we initiate general preparation work that is applicable to most states. This includes the development of a plan of operation, board resolutions, and other information.
- Once enough information is provided, we begin state-specific work on states where your company is likely to meet licensure requirements. Any issues regarding questionable states are discussed with you before action is taken.
- Form preparation begins immediately upon receipt of your responses. Forms are returned to you for execution within days. Applications for admission are released as soon as you return requested information.
- All open items-including all state and Westmont actions-are tracked on a status chart, which is e-mailed to appropriate personnel within your company on an expeditious schedule.
